Who are Snowbright Samoyeds and where are you located?

We are a mother-daughter team located in Ann, Arbor, MI & Columbus, Ohio. 

Do you sell pet / companion puppies or show only?

We only keep a select number of dogs in the program. The majority of our puppies are sold on pet contracts. If interested we are open to co-ownership agreements with the right homes.

Where are your puppies raised and how are they socialized?

Our puppies are raised in our home around dogs of various ages and sizes. They are also socialized with cats, loud noises  (ex: dog blowers), and worked with in different environments.

How does your waitlist work and when does it open?

We operate one annual waitlist rather than separate lists by litter. The waitlist typically opens December of the prior year, and placement depends on timing, litter size, and overall fit for your family. 

What is included when a puppy goes home?

Puppies go home with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, lifetime microchip, AKC litter registration, a written contract, a starter puppy packet, blankets, toys, food, and a White Pine leash/collar.

How many litters do you have each year?

We typically have one to two litters per year.

What health testing do you perform on your breeding dogs?

Some of our dogs health testing is posted on OFA (hips, eyes, heart, dna). Links are provided under each dog's page. In additional to the CHIC requirements we test for FEH & preform gonioscopies.

When do puppies go home?

The earliest we send puppies home is 8 weeks old. Typically, they go home closer to 9 weeks. We occasionally place prospective show puppies at 12+ weeks.

Is a deposit required and is it refundable?

Yes, we require a non-refundable deposit to be added to our official waitlist.

Do we sell puppies out of state?

Yes, but we require you to come for an in person pick-up. We will not ship puppies in cargo. They must go home by ~10 weeks to fit under the seat.
